5 out of 5 starsGreat example of you get what you pay for. The piece is somehow more impressive in person. The craftsmanship and the gorgeous wood grain are, I daresay, "top shelf." When it arrived, I discovered that the cable holes were not wide enough to accommodate larger plugs. Make sure to measure before you place you order and request a 1/4" extra to be safe. To Tim's credit, he sent me a video explaining how to widen the hole by drilling with a Forstner bit, which worked very well. and its statement on a wall are
Gorgeous cabinet! Beautifully crafted and finished. This is our second cabinet purchase and we are extremely satisfied with these products. Thank you!
The shop owner helpfully informed me the location of a hole needed for an existing outlet behind the cabinet needed to change. Small details like the proper continuation of wood grain from side to top of the cabinet and across the door faces make this piece perfection.
The piece is beautiful, lovely wood, very well made. I do have a question for the seller; I believe the doors appear to be walnut veneer over particleboard. I don’t recall seeing that in the items listing. If I’m correct is there a reason that the doors were made that way, and not of solid walnut.
Thank you for the great review! As for the sliding doors, these are cabinet grade MDF core veneer, not particle board (shudder the thought!). We use MDF core for its seasonal stability, strength and flatness. Using solid wood for the doors would be a mistake if milled to 1/4" as they would bow and warp with the seasons. Using a more thick solid panel would be an option but would then require a LOT of real estate within the cabinet. We';ve found these panels to be the best option. thanks for your question and thanks again for your business! -Tim Krovel
